Performing as a

Piano Soloist

She has studied with top educators in the states of Utah and Missouri, performing works by Mussorgsky, Beethoven, Bach, Liszt, Mozart, Schumann, Rachmaninov, Crumb, Cage, Ives, among others.

Janessa is an accomplished soloist, holding three degrees in music which includes a master in piano performance. She performs massive, large-scale, works like Liszt’s B Minor Piano Sonata and the Concord Sonata by Charles Ives.

Music is a powerful tool of self expression. I think of myself as a conduit for the music, allowing my audience to experience the power and majesty of the masterworks from the music canon. In conjunction with my thesis research, I also seek to bring lesser known music and composers to light, highlighting the work of my fellow women and the keyboardists that came before me.
